About My PCP Check

My PCP Check is an independent information website built to help UK drivers understand the numbers in a Personal Contract Purchase agreement. It is not a lender, broker, dealership, claims company or regulated financial adviser, and it does not arrange finance or sell user leads.

What the site does

The checker takes figures that you enter from your own agreement and turns them into simple comparisons: scheduled agreement progress, an indicative voluntary-termination position, equity based on a lender settlement figure and vehicle value, a straight-line mileage projection and remaining scheduled costs.

What it does not do

It does not calculate an official settlement quotation, decide whether voluntary termination is legally available in your circumstances, value your vehicle, assess fair wear and tear, check arrears or defaults, or recommend that you choose a particular finance route. Those decisions depend on your agreement, lender and circumstances.

Editorial approach

Guides are written to answer a specific question in plain English, with calculations labelled as examples. We prefer primary or established consumer sources such as legislation, the Financial Conduct Authority, MoneyHelper and BVRLA guidance. We do not copy lender marketing pages or create hundreds of near-identical pages for different payment amounts.

Independence and funding

The site is free to use. It may be funded by advertising and, in future, clearly identified affiliate links. Advertising does not change calculator results or editorial conclusions. Any commercial relationship will be disclosed where relevant.
